SLAs turn your AI chat labels into a prioritized alert feed, so the right person is notified when an important chat is waiting too long. Instead of everyone watching every chat, Eazybe watches for you and raises an alert only when a chat crosses the limit you set.

Before you start

  • You need admin access.
  • Your chats should be getting AI labels (Hot Lead, Escalation, Followup Pending, Unreplied) — SLAs are built on these labels.

Turn SLAs on

1

Open Settings → SLA

Go to Settings → SLA.
2

Toggle the master switch on

Turn on the master switch at the top.
With the master switch off, no alerts are sent — even if rules exist.
You start with two ready-made rules you can keep, edit, or delete:
  • Hot Lead + Unreplied → alert after 10 minutes, severity Critical
  • Escalation → alert after 15 minutes, severity High

How a rule works

Each rule says: “When a chat has these labels and stays that way longer than X, raise an alert at this severity and notify these people.” For each rule you set:
Good to know:
  • Hot Lead and Escalation can’t be combined in one rule (a chat can’t be both).
  • The timer measures the most relevant wait — how long since the escalation, since the follow-up became due, or since the customer’s last message.
  • Each chat raises only one alert — its highest-severity matching rule wins, so you never get duplicate pings for the same chat.

Severity — and using “Suppress”

Severity controls how loud an alert is:
  • Critical / High — surfaced right away.
  • Medium / Low — grouped and sent on your chosen schedule (see Notification schedule), so they don’t spam anyone.
  • Suppress — the chat is matched but deliberately silenced. Use this to hide known noise (for example, a label combo you don’t want alerts for). Suppressed chats show up as “N hidden as noise” rather than as alerts.

Business hours

SLAs should only count time when your team is actually working.
  • Set your start/end time, time zone, and working days.
  • Or tick “Same as working hours” to reuse your organisation’s hours.
Time outside business hours doesn’t count toward a chat’s limit, so a message that arrives after close isn’t flagged as “late” overnight.

Notification schedule

  • Choose how often Medium/Low alerts are batched: every 2, 3, or 4 hours, or once at end of day.
  • Add the phone number(s) that should receive the SLA report.

Save

Click Save. Changes take effect for new alerts going forward. The page shows when you have unsaved changes.

Example

You want managers pinged fast when a hot lead goes cold, but only a daily summary for older unanswered chats.
  • Rule 1: Hot Lead + Unreplied · 10 min · Critical · notify Manager
  • Rule 2: Unreplied · 4 hours · Low · notify Rep
  • Frequency: End of day · Business hours: 9:30–20:00, Mon–Sat

Tips

  • Start with fewer, stricter rules and loosen them once you see the volume.
  • Use Suppress instead of deleting a rule when you want to stop alerts but keep the definition.
  • If nobody’s getting alerts: check the master switch, that the rule is On, and that it’s within business hours.
